About THETA
Theta Token works as an incentive for users encouraging them to share unused memory and bandwidth resources which will address the challenges video streaming is facing today.
Theta Token network aims at solving the following problems facing the video steaming industry; poor quality of video streaming especially in the developing countries, high cost of content delivery networks and video content delivery and lastly, the lack of transparency among the users and the advertisers.
The Theta Tokens are ERC20 based and can be used as an incentive mechanisms to motivate stakeholders to participate in this platform. Users, viewers and advertisers all benefit from these tokens. When viewers support their favorite content creator they get gifted with Theta Tokens. Advertisers can use the Tokens to fund their advertising campaign to support streaming sites.
Theta is the blockchain built for video delivery and streaming while the Tokens are the incentives that motivate all stakeholders and that is why it’s the only end to end solution for video streaming.
