Aeternity is a digital currency that utilizes blockchain technology and is based on Ethereum. AE is a name used to refer to the energy or “crypto-fuel” and shall be a token designed to drive any application executed on the platform.
The basic goal of Aeternity is to improve existing cryptocurrencies. This is achieved by making transactions faster and significantly safer than typical virtual currencies. By not storing contract code or state on-chain, the result is that Aeternity has smart contracts that are easier to analyze processes quicker, with limited in de facto functionality.
