About Zcash
Zcash was introduced on October 28, 2016 by Zerocoin Electric Coin Company. The idea and purpose is to allow private transactors the choice to comply with anti-money laundering or tax regulations. Zcash payments are published on a public blockchain, but users are able to use an optional privacy feature to conceal the sender, recipient, and amount being transacted. Zcash affords private transactors the option of "selective disclosure", allowing a user to prove payment for auditing purposes. Zcash uses succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge arguments of knowledge. It has a block creation time of 2.5 minutes in average and block size of 2MB. Each block gives the miner 12.5 ZEC halving every 4 years. Zcash can handle up to 26 transactions per second.
