About Nxt
Nxt was introduced in 4 December 2013 by BCNext. NXT is a platform that allows you to build applications and financial services. Nxt uses proof of stake and does not create new coins from block rewards, instead the transactions fees are given to the “miner”, and from that moment the coins would be consideren unlocked. Because of the proof of stake consensus doing an attack on Nxt would make the attacker lose a lot of money (he needs to hold 51% of total coin supply) which they will lose most of their value if the attack is successful. It has a block creation time of 1 minute with block size of 32Kb. Nxt can handle up to 1,000 transactions per second.
